The fourth project carried out by our students was the development of an IoT Model ("Internet of Things" focused on asset tracking), with the aim of presenting innovative solutions to the project partners through the use of technology.
PROBLEM: Managing the location of high value-added assets in the institute's buildings.
OBJECTIVE: To monitor the real location of your assets within your campus.
PUBLIC: Employees and users of the institution's assets.
PROBLEM: Avoiding financial losses due to lack of location and control of assets.
OBJECTIVE: To manage the actual location of the institution's IT assets.
PUBLIC: Students and employees of the institution (+ 1400 people).
PROBLEM: Not having real-time control of the company's inventoried assets.
OBJECTIVE: To monitor the actual location of assets within an indoor environment.
PUBLIC: Company employees.
PROBLEM: Absence of a control and monitoring system for vehicles received at one parking point and moved to another.
OBJECTIVE: To monitor the vehicles received at a valet station, and during their movement in the parking lots.
PUBLIC: Company employees.
PROBLEM: Manual and operational work to identify and locate seedlings in nurseries, as well as taking note of data on the conditions for maintaining the seedlings in the grow houses where they are located.
OBJECTIVE: To automate and increase the reliability of the temperature and relative humidity data collected in their vegetation houses in the forest nursery.
PUBLIC: Company employees.
PROBLEM/OBJECTIVE: To create an IoT solution that enables the tracking and tracing of the organization's tablets / notebooks.
PUBLIC: Internal employees of the plant.
PROBLEM: Low accuracy in stock control of the company's high value-added items, without location monitoring.
OBJECTIVE: Monitoring system to manage the location of equipment and agricultural inputs.
AUDIENCE: Internal IT team and warehouse management / automotive maintenance
PROBLEM: Improving the capture of information on patient flow and care staff with a low-cost solution.
OBJECTIVE: To monitor the location of patients and care staff in order to optimize the flow of care and stage metrics.
PUBLIC: Internal I.T. and emergency services teams
PROBLEM: High cost of equipment and market solutions for monitoring structures in civil engineering.
OBJECTIVE: Adapt IoT hardware capable of monitoring physical civil engineering structures such as bridges and buildings for expansion in metal structures.
PUBLIC: Internal Civil Works Monitoring Team
PROBLEM: Not having low-cost equipment and technologies to improve asset control and monitoring.
OBJECTIVE: To locate RNP assets that are distributed throughout a region of Brazil, being able to locate and identify them easily.
