Six tips for enjoying your days off while prioritizing your well-being.

After a whole semester of study, challenges and learning, it's time to change the routine and enjoy the days off. Vacations are a valuable time to relax and find a healthy balance between rest and personal growth.

The most important tip is to practice self-knowledge

"Reflect on your needs and interests to make the most of this period"advises Filipe Gonçalves, coordinator of Inteli's Leadership curriculum.

Rest and disconnect

Vacations go hand in hand with rest.

There's no point in trying to deal with the projects you've accumulated over the year in a short space of time. Respect your own rhythm and allow yourself to disconnect from everyday obligations.

Do a vacation internship

Here at Inteli, 145 students are assigned to 18 companies on vacation internships in July. Filipe Gonçalves advises that the internship period should be used to learn, meet new people, acquire different perspectives and explore working methods.

"The aim shouldn't necessarily be to deliver results, but to gain experience and expand your professional horizons. Slow down and don't put so much pressure on yourself during this time", says Filipe.

Practice self-knowledge

Take some time to reflect on your goals, dreams and objectives. Be with the people you love and do activities that renew your energy, such as exercising, meditating, walking in nature or simply enjoying a good book. Value your time and take care of your mental health.

Invest in personal development

Do you want to use your vacation time to learn something new? Invest in a new language, explore topics that pique your interest or take advantage of insights that have arisen during the semester to delve even deeper. Use this time to grow intellectually and dedicate yourself to personal projects that will contribute to your career.

Explore new things

Take advantage of your vacation to explore the world and discover new experiences. Try new foods, meet new people and go on adventures that will enrich your personal and cultural repertoire.

Look for a volunteer activity

How about using your talent and free time to contribute to a social cause? As well as making a difference to other people's lives, volunteering can give you a sense of purpose and develop your interpersonal skills.
