"All this experience makes me much better prepared for the job market. What I've experienced here, no other college in Brazil can offer me."
This is the opinion of Maurício de Azevedo Neto, from the class of Computer Scienceabout the incredible journey here at Inteli during the first module of 2023.
Here at Inteli, the teaching methodology used is project-based learning (PBL). Project Based Learning (PBL). Students are challenged to develop a solution to a market partner's problem. To do this, they need to put into practice what they learn in theory, always working as part of a team.
In the first quarter, we welcomed Unipar Group, the Institute for Technological Research (IPT), Coover, Dell Technologies, AEL Sistemas, V.tal, Cia de Talentos, the Federal University of Alagoas and the USP School of Medicine.

How does it work?
At Inteli, the Project Office is responsible for selecting the best challenges for our students, as well as helping with the entire project development process.
The aim is to attract companies, NGOs or government institutions with real problems that can be addressed by developing the solutions envisaged in the academic model. The biannual selection of partners ensures that the curriculum is never out of date. We are always challenged by our partners' challenges.
And what is the opinion of the managers who took part in the experience in the first semester? "I have no doubt that they will leave extremely prepared for the job market"says Luiz Brotto, senior advisor at Dell.
Luciana Carvalho Barros, a researcher at USP's Faculty of Medicine, highlights the satisfaction in new ways of looking at the organization's problems. "The project continues outside these walls and will certainly have a big impact on the patients and the care team," she says.
Discipline, self-study and teamwork
Bianca Cassemiro's group, from the Computer Engineeringworked with the Institute of Technological Research (IPT) on a project to automate a robotic arm with the aim of carrying out the magnetic separation of ores. To get there, the students learned programming, UX, business and leadership skills. "The communication channel is very fluid and the entire teaching team helps us as much as possible to resolve doubts and problems," says Bianca, says Bianca.
Maurício's team was given the challenge by V.tal, a neutral fiber optic company, to develop an effective and entertaining game for employees about the company's code of ethics and conduct.
"We created a game in which the character goes through various situations that put his knowledge of the company's compliance to the test, while at the same time educating the player. We also inserted situations that address all of the organization's stakeholders"explains the young man.
For teacher-supervisor Fabiana Martins, the period was a lot of work and focus on organizing and applying agile methodologies aimed at specific learning, such as programming logic, calculus 1 and 2, swot analysis, applying qualitative and quantitative tests, discipline in academic writing and so on.
"The first quarter demands a lot of patience and self-management from the students. But working with a real client stimulates the students and really brings unimaginable knowledge. By the end of the module, the methodology makes perfect sense to them," says Fabiana.
